purchased Layne at the SUMMIT 3 SALE in 2015, he is a son of Clear View
TY 205R, the bull we owned and started our Speckle Park endeavors with. TY was known
for his great carcass attributes with minimal back fat. Ponderosa Farms used him in their early years to help establish great carcasses in their feedlot cattle.
LAYNE is also off one
of Codiak's great cows who has raised some high selling cattle. We are looking forward to progeny off this
great bull, so far in two years we have been so thrilled with his calves! Both his bull and heifers have been our top sellers and have gone to all parts of our nation! We are looking forward to seeing them in shows or in production in other provincial pastures!
Genomic Tests: Leptin CT, PMCH AT, IGF2 CT, CRH GG, AAFC Genomic Prediction Trial scored well in Feed Efficiency/RFI and DMI (Dry Matter Intake) as well as in REA (Rib Eye Area),
Black Dominant Coat Color
We HAVE COLLECTED LAYNE and have semen straws available at ALTA GENETICS.
