Hello fellow Speckle Park enthusiasts! It is now springtime in Alberta, after one of the toughest winters in many years. Soon the green will be around us again and life will seem much brighter. Sharon and Bradley had some very nice calves born this spring off Codiak Dealer GNK 8D. They were blessed with many more bull calves than heifers though this year. If you are around our area stop in for a visit and farm tour of their small but quality herd. Hope you all have a great spring!

Hello, It is with some sadness and mixed emotions I announce the impending closure of Matters Speckle Park. I have made the decision to leave the cattle business all together and have decided to sell my herd of registered Speckle Park. Sharon, my daughter and her partner, Bradley, have decided to continue on with a small quality herd of registered Speckle Park under the new farm name of BAR 4M Ranch. She has 10 cows of her own already and she is purchasing 4 more from me. That leaves me now wit... Read Full Post »

She is a black, 85lb heifer who decided to enter the world backwards. Thanks to Micheal's assistance she was safely on the ground. We will be looking forward to more babies from this point on as my BD was to be our start date, or around about. On another note, we have some yearlings that are developi... Read Full Post »

Hi, this is the first submission to our blog. We are going thru lots of changes on the farm right now. Our small herd of cattle is slowly growing and we will have 30 registered Speckle Park females to calf out this year and another 30 commercial females bred Speckle Park to calve out as well. I am slowly transitioning out of the cattle operation over a few years and Sharon and Bradley will be taking over. They are very eager, enthusiastic young ranchers who will excel in the...
